If you know someone who you think would benefit from working with us, you can:

We encourage potential referrals to reach out to us directly, rather than the other way around. Thank you for your referral!

We strive to make our services accessible and affordable. See below for more information about payment & insurance reimbursement. Many of our services can be paid for by FSA/HSA or may be reimbursed to you by your insurance.

If you qualify for WIC or Medicaid, we offer sliding scale services. Priority is given to BIPOC individuals and families. Let us know if you’re in need at this time.

Our services are more comprehensive and in-depth than most because:

1. Rather than you having to work with multiple practitioners who don’t work together as a team which results in a fragmented experience, your care experience with us will be cohesive.

2.  We dive in deep to work with you to achieve your goals. We understand how health can impact all aspects of your life, and we want to see you live your best life – not just get symptom free.

3. There are many more ways we can help you optimize your health because we provide a fuller range of services to meet your needs. Among the individuals on our team, we represent over 50 specialties.

The terms Functional, Integrative & Holistic are often confused for one another and therefore misused by wellness practitioners and doctors alike. They are each distinct approaches, yet when combined powerful healing can be achieved and that is our goal at WBWB.

  • A functional approach focuses on restoring the body to full, optimal function with the notion that the body’s dysfunction has been influenced by a combination of factors – mainly because of the break down of the body’s systems, environmental & genetic factors.
  • An integrative approach brings together a variety of approaches together – often medical or clinical with non-medical or non-clinical approaches. Many times, doctors will advertise an “Integrative Medicine” approach – usually this is misleading because their predominant approach is medical with some superficial integrative solutions such as supplementation and mindfulness. That’s simply not enough to help people through the often complicated issues they are facing. At Whole Brain Whole Body, we are pioneering an Integrative Team approach that is actively evolving multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary and intra-disciplinary frameworks to help you improve your health.
  • A holistic approach is a wholesome approach to the body – considering the body in its entirety and everything that may be linked to the body. The holistic approach offers a distinct focus on the mind, body & soul. Holistic approaches when paired with functional approaches are more effective than solely a holistic approach.

While it’s important to understand these these distinctions, it’s more important that you understand what’s missing in your current care and how a new approach may help you achieve your goals.

That’s great – we take a team approach to working with clients. Our work together will be supportive of the goals you have with your physician, and you’ll get to learn more in-depth information about your health, how to implement wellness practices and the different options you have when it comes to meeting your goals. With your consent, we would be more than happy to communicate directly with anyone on your current care team. Medical approaches can be integrated well with holistic, functional and integrative approaches.

Payment & Insurance Details

The following services may be able to be paid for with your HSA/FSA: doula and lactation services, educational classes, supplement and medical device orders.

We are out of network with insurance, and currently only lactation services and birth doula services may be reimbursed by your insurance.

Learn more about lactation benefits under the Affordable Care Act here and here. Lactation benefits should be covered (see below Insurance Exception details below if they are not).

Visits with us are considered out of network with your insurance and are usually 60-70% reimbursed back to you. We will provide you a superbill for your visit, and call your insurance company to verify benefits within the week of your visit. We will provide you with the details about your insurance reimbursement we were provided along with a reference number for our phone call. You’ll be able to submit the superbill we provide you for reimbursement by following the instructions your insurance provides to you (usually on the back of your card or on their website). We cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed. Insurance reimbursement depends on your plan, your deductible, and the contracted reimbursement rate for out of network sessions. If you are concerned about reimbursement, please call your insurance provider for more information.

Regardless of your reimbursement status, you are still responsible for the full visit fee which is due at the time of booking. Our billing & scheduling policy applies to all clients.

In the rare instance that lactation services are NOT covered by anyone IN your insurance network (for your reference lactation services under the current Affordable Care Act are typically covered – visit this website and see this toolkit) you can apply for a gap exception which basically means that in the absence of in network providers you would be reimbursed for your out of network visit under special conditions. In this case, you can call your insurance company and provide them with the following information:
